Chiwetal Ejiofor is a well-known American actor who has well balanced his silver screen and television commitments in a professional manner and has appeared in a number of well-known movies.
His personal life
Chiwetelu Umeadi Ejiofor was born on the 10th July 1977 in Forest gate London to Nigerian parents Obiajulu ho was a pharmacist and Arinze Ejiofor, a doctor. He attended the Dulwich College in South East London and by the age of 13 he attended numerous schools and national Youth theatre productions that were followed by the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts. Ejiofor caught the attention of Steven Spielberg in 1996 and he was casted in the well-known movie Amistad that also starred Morgan Freeman and Anthony Hopkins. He has acted in a number of movies like Dirty Pretty Things (2002), Love Actually (2003), Woody Allen’s Melinda and Melinda (2004), American Gangster (2007), and more. He also won a couple of awards for these movies.
Ejiofor won the award of the best actor at the Evening Standard Theatre Awards with Ewan Mcgregor for the title role of Micheal Grand age’s Othello at the Donmar warehouse He was also nominated In the South Bank show awards and the What’s On Stage Theatregoers’ Choice Awards in 2009.Apart from that he received an Olivier award for Best Play Blue/orange. Ejiofor has worked in small screen productions as well as award winning movies. He was also nominated for the Golden Globe Award as well as an NAACP Image award. He has also acted in films like Endgame (2009), 2012 (2009), Salt (2010), Half of a Yellow Sun (2013) that awarded him with for Best Actor that also gave him fame and acclamations.
