Marion Cotillard is a French Actress, singer and songwriter who was born on 30th September 1975.She has received an Academy Award, a BAFTA award, a Golden Globe award and has appeared in a number of movies with more than 50.
Her early life
Cotillard was born in Paris and grew up around the Orleans. She has a very creative and artistic household where her father Jean-Claude Cotillard, is an actor, teacher, former mime and her mother Niseema Theillaud, is also an actress and drama teacher. She has two younger twin brothers and partner Guillaume who is a screenwriter and director.
Her acting career
Cotillard had small and minor roles in television series like Highlander – where she had her first English-speaking role at the age of 17.She also appeared in Nowhere to run as well as in Saving Grace her career as an actress begun around the 90s with roles in movies like The Story of a Boy Who Wanted to Be Kissed, My Sex Life… or How I Got into an Argument, and the comedy La Belle Verte. She had her first leading role in the television film Chloe where teenager runaways are forced into prostitution. She has also had a number of roles in French movies as well as Swiss war dram films like War in the Highlands where she also won the Best Actress Award at the Autrans Film Festival in 1999. In 2002, Cotillard starred in Guillaume Nicloux’s thriller A Private Affair where she showcased the role of Mysterious Clarisse.
