Alfredo James is an American actor, filmmaker and screenwriter. He has had a great career of more than 50 years during which he has acted in many movies and got various awards for the same. He is well known for his role in the Godfather.

His early life

Al Pacino was born in New York City to Sicilian parents Salvatore Pacino and Rose, who divorced when he was two years. He aimed to be a basketball player in his teen years but also loved acting. He went to Herman Ridder Junior High School, but in secondary school dropped out of many classes. He also attended the high school of performing arts, but dropped out of school at 17. He left the house, worked at low paying jobs like a janitor, postal clerk and busboy. He began smoking and drinking at nine years of age, however, did not use drugs. AL pacino then joined the HB studio where he met Charlie Laughton who became his mentor.

Other notable roles include Tony Montana in Scarface, Lowell Bergman in The Insider and many more. He won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Miniseries movie.
